Major Update coming soon - 3 country trip March 08 photos to be sorted first!
So far I've been to England 10 times over
about 24 years. Each time there is a different theme (i.e. castles,
museums, cathedrals, car related, etc.). One thing we always do is get
our fill of the beautiful English countryside, and London. So far we've
stayed as far north as Birmingham and all the way to the south coast,
Lands End to Dover on the east and west coasts. We usually like to go
in the spring or even winter. This is off-season so its a little
cheaper, there are less crowds, and we found we get better service due
to lack of tourists. I enjoy the cold anyway.
This is Leads Castle.
About halfway between London and the south coast.
Various scenes from some
earlier trips. I know the heart of London well now.

Here's a lucky photo-Op I got of the Queen of England. I took
this shot at the front gate of Buckingham Palace one evening March
97. She couldn't have been more than 12 feet away and there was only
about 10 people watching her come out. Wish I had my good camera with
me then.
This is the tiny village of Bibury in the Cotswolds. Virtually one road and very peaceful. Was quite beautiful in the snow.
This is Dover castle which was much larger than I expected. Also shown is the White cliffs of Dover. This is on the south-south/east coast and is the closest land to France. The Channel Tunnel to France is just a few miles from here.
This is the Rhinefield House
which we stayed in. Absolulely beautiful place to stay in the New
Forest, Hampshire.
This is Bodiam Castle. We were on our way to somewhere else and sort of threw it in the plan for the day.
This is the Bridge House Hotel
which we stayed.
